About Me

My photo
I am a person who loves life and loves capturing it in pictures and recording it in many ways. I have been happily married for over 40 years to my wonderful husband Mike. We have raised 4 daughters, were foster parents for 11 years and are now raising 2 of our grandchildren. They are the love of our lives and the light in our eyes. At this time in our lives, we would expect to be planning for retirement, but instead we are planning for the future of these children. Starting over so to speak. At the ripe old age of 50, I found myself as a mom of a pre-schooler again so it's the second time around for us, thus my title. We attend church and teach Sunday School. Life is never dull, as you can imagine. Enjoy the pieces of our lives and allow this grandmother some bragging rights occasionally, ok very often.

Limo Ride and Teacher Gifts

Kayleigh was treated to lunch at the mall in style. Her whole class was taken out to eat in this awesome limo. It was her first time riding in a limo. They were all so excited. Here they are!!

This was a reward from their awesome teacher for exceeding their AR goal in reading. Not to brag or anything but Kayleigh exceeded her goal by 22 points. Told you she loved to read. Anyway they had a great time. Kayleigh is the 4th girl from the left standing up. Now, on to teacher gifts.

My very talented friend Ashley paints stained glass windows so we ordered this little baby for McKane's teacher who is also awesome. (We really do pray for their teachers) After I got the window, I had the children place their little thumbprints all around the frame of the window. I then turned the boys into bees and the girls into butterflies and dragonflies.

Here they are presenting it to her. They were as excited as she was. McKane is f left wearing number 6.

First the happy tears.......

Then the excitement...Can you tell she LOVED it.

  3. Wow! That is one awesome limo. I really love its grand design. I’m glad that Kayleight and her classmates were able to experience riding a limo at their young age.
